Vocollect Announces John Steadman as New Vice President for Product Operations

Former Motorola Vice President and General Manager Will Lead Vocollects Technical Innovation and Product Development

PITTSBURGH, May 17, 2005 - Vocollect, the global leader in voice-directed work, announced today the appointment of John Steadman as vice president for product operations. With more than 30 years of experience in high technology and product development, Steadman will oversee the entire product lifecycle of Vocollects Voice-Directed Distribution™, with special attention to technical innovation and strategic growth. He reports to President and CEO Jack LeVan.

Prior to joining Vocollect, Steadman held a number of senior management positions, including his post as Vice President and General Manager for the Internet and Software Group at Motorola, Inc. where he developed and managed high-level alliances with key technology companies including Microsoft, HP, IBM, Palm, Oracle and Time Warner. During his tenure at Motorola, Mr. Steadman spent three years expatriate residency in Europe and seven years long term assignment in China and Japan, where his success in internationalizing and localizing technology products will contribute greatly to Vocollect’s rapidly growing, and already substantial international sales.
