AccuNurse was developed with the support of research grants from the National Institutes of Health, earning several awards along the way: the Tibbetts Award from the SBA for excellence in the small business innovation research (SBIR) program; and the Excellence in Applying High Tech to Healthcare Award from the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Vocollect Healthcare Systems team refined AccuNurse in collaboration with the Kendal Corporation, which hosted the first AccuNurse implementation.
